St. Barnabas is a friendly, open, growing church in the heart of Franche, the northern edge of Kidderminster. Our worshipping life is based aroudn the Eucharist (bread and wine), prayer and the reading and thinking about Scripture; we love our faith and try to live out what we believe. If you were to categorise us, we are middle of the road Anglican with Catholic influences.
We appreciate just how difficult it is to come throught the door of a church for the first time. We have two of our congregation who will be at the other side of the door to welcoem you and show you what you need for the service. They will do this with the minimum of fuss. Often new people like to sit at the back and watch what’s going on, and that’s fine. We will be pleased to see you.
We encourage church members of every age to lead services and to take part in our services. Members of the congregation take services, read, lead intercessions, sing in our choir and also serve at the altar.
We enjoy having children and their families present at our services. Children who have been baptised and attend regularly are invited to receive communion after preparation.
With have very strong links with St. Catharine’s Primary School.
